A painting for the Year of the Snake! While doing research for the watercolor I was doing for my friends at @luckyenvbrewing I saw this little guy. Ahaetulla is a genus of green vine snakes indigenous to Asia. This species A. Prasina is native to Sri Lanka. The pink hibiscus flowers are for contrast both in color and the content: the beautiful soft florals and the smooth serpent. Plus subconsciously somehow I remembered a piece at my grandparent’s hise of a happy green snake with pink flowers.
Mounted Print $20: Image size 8.5×14 printed using archival Epson Claria inks on 110lb acid free card stock. Mounted 11×14 with acid free, archival WHITE mat board.
